pablo escobar neighborhood

Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria was the most wanted man the world in the 90s.
He was born in Rionegro-Antioquia. in his lifetime. he built and destroyed, maybe like nobody in the history of Colombia.

In 1982s. Pablo Escobar was Elected as an alternate member of the chamber of representatives of Colombia. The Pablo escobar drug lord founded a neighborhood with 443 houses, the houses are for all people has been living in dump of moravia.

these houses did not have any service like service of water,light etc. it was a great blessing for those people.
this neighborhood is located in the center- east of medellin.
Today. 22 years after death of Pablo Escobar. They remember like his hero.

The government never allowed that the neighbourhood`s name was Pablo Escobar.
This neighborhood for the government were called "Medellin Sin Tugurios". But for all citizens were called Pablo Escobar Neighborhood. But for all citizens was called Pablo Escobar's Neighborhood.

   

Besides blowing up bombs and killing characters of national public life, Escobar contributed to the communities

that the municipaly would not listen,  he lit and he built sport fields, and bought markets to give to the poorest families.

the community leader exlained that the neighborhood officially was known as ''Medellín whithout Slums'' and that

the administration did not admit its popular name, its lacks any kind of services:school, football field and that

attributes it to a kind of revenge of the authorities to not wanting to give up the name.''you can give up many things

but never to dignity, this neighborhood did Pablo Escobar and the history cannot be changed''.Zabala said, every nights,

a few minutes before nine,the district loses its usual vitality and is paralyzed. its inhabitants, young and old, gather

in houses around tvs to watch the soap opera''Escobar the pattern of evil''. which has created real furor in the neighborhood.

furor but also discord:many people dislike relive the crimes of the Medellin cartel kingpin and seek justify him as a "good"

man who had to reach those limits. Today 30 years after being built the neighborhood,the inhabitants believe that the abandonment

by the state is evident. the ones who are seen walking there are the family of pablo escobar who are welcomed with satisfaction.

simply walk 3 streets surrounding  the aerea and climb more that 100 stairs that are part of the sector to understand

that families of the 400 homes built have a deep respect for the head of the Medellín cartel.
